The conflict between Israel and Hamas has taken another devastating turn, with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claiming that Hamas militants brutally murdered two young Israeli children, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, with their bare hands. The accusation, made by IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, contradicts Hamas' previous claim that the Bibas family perished in an Israeli airstrike.

According to the IDF, forensic evidence and intelligence gathered suggest that 10-month-old Kfir and his four-year-old brother Ariel were killed sometime before November 2023 while being held hostage in Gaza. Rear Admiral Hagari stated, "The terrorists did not shoot the two young boys – they killed them with their bare hands. Afterwards, they committed horrific acts to cover up these atrocities."

Hagari also alleged that Hamas had intentionally misled the world by falsely claiming the Bibas children were killed in an Israeli airstrike. Additionally, the IDF accused Hamas of violating a recent hostage handover agreement by returning the body of an unidentified woman instead of Shiri Bibas, the mother of the two boys.
